Simon graduated from St Martin's College of Art and Design in 1990 with a BA(HONS) degree in Theatre Design. Until 1994 he worked continuously in theatre designing shows as varied as Aladdin at the Cockpit Theatre, Rigoletto (workshop) at the Royal Opera House, Talent by Victoria Wood at the Players Theatre, Gangster Apparel by Richard Vetere for Bristol Express Theatre Company and Golgo by Howard Barker at the Royal Court Theatre.
Simon has also acted as a design tutor at the Royal Opera House Education Department as well as design assistant to Jasper Conran on a production of Stephen Sondheim's Putting it Together.
In March '94 Simon decided he wanted to move into film and took a Film Foundation Course at Prominent Studios, London. Since then he has acted as Production Designer on various productions.
